FMS(In-house Work)

Process Introduction

FMS is a management system that collects and separates flux vapors and viscous residues generated during the Reflow process, reducing contamination inside the equipment and exhaust system. It helps maintain stable exhaust flow and ensures a clean operating environment for the Reflow equipment.

Work Information
Work Introduction

If Flux and Sludge accumulate inside the FMS filters, ducts, cups, and internal passages, they may cause reduced exhaust performance, equipment alarms, contamination, and particle generation. The FMS covers and Flux Collection Cup are disassembled, cleaned using dedicated cleaning solutions and tools, and then reassembled. This process helps maintain stable exhaust performance and process cleanliness while improving Reflow equipment uptime.

Work Details
  • Remove the top and front covers of the FMS to secure sufficient access for internal maintenance.
  • Remove the Flux Collection Cup at the lower front section and clean it using a dedicated cleaning solution.
  • Remove accumulated Flux and Sludge from the detached covers and components.
  • Remove hardened Flux from the upper internal passages using dedicated cleaning solutions and tools.
  • Remove residual Flux discharged through the lower passages using a wiper.
  • After cleaning, reassemble the Cup and covers and inspect their condition.
Work Results
  • Prevent reduced exhaust performance and equipment alarms caused by Flux accumulation.
  • Reduce contamination and particle generation inside the Reflow equipment.
  • Maintain stable exhaust flow and collection performance to minimize variations in process conditions.
  • Improve equipment reliability and uptime while helping prevent product contamination defects.
