Feeder
Process Introduction
The Feeder is a device used in the SMT process to hold Reels containing electronic components and continuously supply the components to the Mounter. It precisely controls the feeding pitch and position of components, supporting stable high-speed component placement.
Work Information
During repeated component feeding operations, the Feeder may experience internal contamination, drive gear wear, and X-axis positional deviations, which can lead to component feeding errors and Pick-Up defects. The Feeder is disassembled to remove internal contaminants and particles, while the drive gears and key components are inspected and replaced as necessary, followed by Calibration. This process maintains component feeding position and transfer accuracy within the specified range, improving SMT process stability and production yield.
- Disassemble the front cover and drive gears to remove internal contaminants and particles.
- Inspect the drive gears and key components for wear or damage and replace them as necessary.
- Mount the reassembled Feeder on the inspection equipment to check transfer operation and X-axis positional deviation.
- Perform repeated X-axis Calibration based on measured values to adjust the position within the specified range.
- After inspection, store Feeders that pass the quality check in designated storage containers.
- Maintain accurate component feeding positions to reduce Pick-Up Errors and placement defects.
- Prevent feeding delays and equipment malfunctions caused by gear contamination and wear.
- Use verified Feeders on the production line to improve the continuity and stability of the SMT process.
- Maintain component feeding accuracy to improve product quality and production yield.
